Dokumentáltam a napjainkat, kettőnk kapcsolatát. A képek mindkettőnknek segítséget nyújtanak kívülről látni magunkat.
Szereti a nehezebb ételeket.
Én nyáron, Budapesten születtem. Kevés húst eszek.
Kiegészítjük egymást. A valódi egység azonban két fél helyett két egész.
Szeretnénk szárnyalni, de sokszor falakba ütközünk.
Nekem sokat segít a tisztán látáshoz a fotográfia.
Együtt dolgozunk a korlátaink, falaink lebontásán és sok energiát fektetünk önmagunk és a kapcsolatunk fejlesztésébe.
Szeretnénk egyensúlyban lenni.
The two of us
I have been documenting our relationship and our days. The beauty as well as the difficulty of the topic is that I am part of the process. The pictures help us to recognize problems and to see ourselves from outside, from a distance.
We have been married for 25 years. We have 4 children.
We speak the same language, but we grew up in a different environment. Attila was born in Transylvania among hills in a little town.
I was born in summer in Budapest, and I grew up in downtown.
We complement each other, but I think real unity is two wholes rather than two halves.
We would like to fly but we bump into walls many times.
Photography helps me a lot to see things clearly.
We work together to pull down our walls and limitations, and we put a lot of energy into improving ourselves and our relationship.
We would like to find balance.

The purpose of this photo series was to get to know and understand in more depth our marriage.

Körömszakadtáig
Diána Adancsek at the age of 18.
At 22, on her way home from school, she had a head-on collision with another car. The driver lost their life. Diána’s pelvis and jaw were shattered, both replaced with platinum. She underwent extended hospital treatment, spending two months in intensive care. Subsequently, she had to relearn how to walk.
Since her recovery, Diána has been living with very long acrylic nails. Nail care takes up four hours every three weeks.
For eighteen years, she has attended jaw physiotherapy every week, a painful experience each time. Without it, stiffness around the jaw muscles would cause lockjaw.
She has been living with Gergő for a year.
Diána works in a telephone accessory store in a Budapest shopping center.
There are life situations she can only handle with tricks.
She undergoes rigorous physiotherapy control during her workouts.
„If you want to be strong, learn how to fight alone.” Despite her fear of needles, her entire body is covered in tattoos.
Despite trauma and difficulties, Diána loves life.
Until the Nail Tears
One of my daughters has artificial nails, which I found difficult to accept.
It was challenging for me to understand why someone would complicate their life in this manner. Why would someone willingly endure such suffering?
How is it possible to live like this? Is she attempting to conceal reality? What might be the underlying reasons?
Kitsch?
Subculture?
Is it a means of creating distance between parent and child?
To explore and comprehend this topic, I began taking photos of hands. This is how I met Diána.
We taught each other to understand and accept people without prejudice.

A képek mindkettőnknek segítséget nyújtottak a helyzet feldolgozásában, a betegség elfogadásában.
ECHOS
It is people who interest me most, their motivation, their joy, their sorrow, their choices; life, birth and death.
The purpose of my photoseries was getting to know and understand my mother better, and accept her. My involvement in this progress meant a great challenge and a huge opportunity at the same time: I frequently felt part of the process rather than the creator of it.
I have been documenting her progress continuously as well as our relationship since the beginning of the illness, which helped us accept it. Thus came healing for both of us.
Dear Mother, When you had your accident in September, I was extremely worried that these might be our last few hours or days together. I was panicked and shocked, then realised that God loves us, and gave me a sign: Death can happen at any time, to any of us. Thank you for still being here with me!
